The world’s first Grenache Symposium is intended as a summit to draw together a dynamic group of the world’s top level Grenache wine producers, experts from the wine industry and press to highlight the issues and opportunities facing this all-too-frequently underestimated grape variety.

In the Southern Rhône, one of the historic heartlands of Grenache production, the Symposium will gather these Grenache experts to:
- highlight the qualities of this versatile grape and its diverse range of wines
- discuss the challenges faced by Grenache producers around the world
- identify opportunities for collaboration to face today’s and tomorrow’s challenges and develop opportunities to champion and promote this “unsung hero”
The Symposium will offer a two to three day programme of meetings, presentations, tastings, roundtable discussions and events to a select group of invited participants over the first weekend in June 2010.
